What is Tator Tots Indy?

Tator Tots Indy was born after three friends--Melissa, Casey, and Betsy--wanted to create a semi-structured learning day for their toddlers. Every other week, the Tator Tots meet and learn together. Every week has an assigned theme, and activities, books, songs, and sometimes food is based on that theme!

A 'loose' schedule for Tator Tots is as follows:

10:00-10:30 a.m.: Free Play
10:30-10:45: Read/Snack
10:45-11:00: Song/Music
11:00-11:20: Craft/Activity
11:20-12:00: Craft/Activity
12:00p.m.: Lunch

Several moms have asked us what we do during our Tator Tots time, so we want to use this blog to share ideas (that are generally borrowed from Pinterest) and to keep a record for the future. We all have mini Tator Tots in training who may want a repeat of our activities!

Past Tator Tot themes have been:

St. Patrick's Day
Earth Day
Race Cars
Easter
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Fruits and Vegetables
Zoo Animals

None of us claim to be experts in raising toddlers, but we ARE experts in using Pinterest like it's our job and socializing while our kids learn and play together. It has been so fun watching our kids become such great friends. They now look forward to Tator Tots and look forward to playing with the friends!
